We have plenty of hedgehogs at The Dulaig B&B
We read today The Times is raising money for the Hedgehog Society because hedgehog numbers are seriously declining in UK. It made us remember how lucky we are to have so many hedgehogs in our garden at The Dulaig B&B. A spectacular snowy start to the day
This morning we awoke to this gorgeous scene in our garden.......the snow has arrived!  For Hope, our little red-legged partridge hatched in summer, it is her first experience of snow lying but she sheltered in a dry spot in our fruit cage in the garden and is happily scratching around and eating this morning.

Our first hedgehog rescue of 2015
We found this little hedgehog, our first Autumn Juvenile of the year, on our drive at The Dulaig last night. It looks in good condition but weighing only 400 grams it is highly unlikely to be able to put on enough weight to enable it to reach 750 grams before it hibernates for winter here in the Scottish Highlands.  We kept it indoors overnight, fed it on catfood which it loved, and today took it for overwintering to Munlochy Animal Rescue about 60 miles away.  We are lucky t...
