This spectacular bird was spotted by our guests Annette and David Chellingsworth when they visited Glenlivet Distillery. A quick look in our guide to birds book told us he is a Reeves’s Pheasant. These birds, quite rare in the UK, can grow to over 2.1 metres long and have been mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest natural tail feather of any bird! Wildlife flocks to The Dulaig wildlife pond
Our new wildlife pond works for wildlife! In the few months since we built it the pond has already attracted a wide variety of birds including grey wagtails and a heron. The  pebble beach is a great spot for the baby newts which sun themselves in the shallow water, and blackbirds, doves and other birds love to bathe and drink there too. Spring into life at The Dulaig!
Spring has sprung at The Dulaig and our garden is full of newly-fledged birds, like this little blackbird being fed by its very attentive father. This wonderful image was captured by Elaine Rees who, along with her husband Alun, is a regular guest at The Dulaig. Thanks Elaine!
