Spectacular stargazing at The Dulaig
Having watched this week’s partial solar eclipse and inspired by BBC programme “Stargazing Live” we have been out doing just that from our garden at The Dulaig.
Much of UK had cloud, but the early January night skies over Grantown-on-Spey were beautifully clear as you can see.
Using binoculars, a telescope….and our own eyes…. we saw the Quadrantid meteors, The Milky Way, Jupiter and its moons, Saturn and its rings, and beautiful Venus as well as the Orion Nebula.
Last night for the first time ever we even spotted the Andromeda Galaxy, over 2.5 million light years away!!!
